Civil War Spur!

Okay, so Rooter (my wife if you didn't know) and myself decided to go north to a large land area that is technically still part of our city' s parks department. We're both very familiar with this area. Me because I used to camp there when I was a kid and her because she grew-up very close by. Several months back Jimmy-the-eye and myself went there and he snagged himself a silver Rosie (after laughing at me about the potential of the place). Rooter and I were hunting in a newer spot and all I was finding was clad. A nice older couple had stopped and started talking with me about metal detecting (They both watch Diggers). I was laughing with them when Rooter lets out a squeek! Before I knew it the older couple all but ran over to see what she had found. It was this:

Most are saying it's a Federal spur dating anywhere from 1860 - 1880. Definitely period and a nice find considering that we were trying to find the old stagecoach route through that property....ON TO THE NEXT.
